About The Kits

Gemé Paper Tole Kits are engineered to transfer the skill, experience, and creative ability of the advanced highly skilled artisan to the hands of the beginner. The illustrations on this page should give you a idea of what is included in a kit and how Paper Tole works. You can get great results with your first project and then embellish with your own touches, like real poppy seeds in place of pictured seeds. Easy instructions and tips are provided.

For a full discussion of how to do paper tole see our published manual, "Basic Paper Tole Instruction Book", PTB90. We would like to point out that, although helpful, PTB90 is not required to complete our kits. Each kit comes with sufficient prints to complete the kit, cutting guides for each print, basic instructions for paper tole, and a helpful hints guide for each kit.

The pictures (right and below) show the items included in a typical 4X5 kit, #225K. On the right, a Paper Tole instruction sheet is shown. Full instructions are provided on the basic steps of Paper Tole with all kits. Handy hints generalized to the Paper Tole craft are given to get the beginner up to speed quickly.

Directly below, the three cutting templates for the three prints that are to be cut to complete the kit are shown. There are usually four prints provided to complete a 4"x5" kit. Three prints are cut, using templates and one is used as a base mounting print.

You will appreciate the numbered cut-outs, as they lead you through the project. A list of hints for this kit is provided to assure success. This is also shown below. To the right below, one of the four high quaity art prints provided is shown.
