How To..

Mount the first print. Number the remaining prints and match them with their correspondingly numbered cutting guides (print #1 with cutting guide #1 and so forth). For Best Results when cutting prints, cut out, shape, and glue piece #1, then cut out, glue, shape and glue piece #2, etc. This is very important. It is recommended that you cut pieces in numerical order.
Outline on the back of a cutout print with a colored felt-tip pen. The color of the pen should be the same as the front of the piece. This will eliminate white cutting lines. It is not necessary to outline white and light colored pieces.
To make your finished project look realistic, you need to mold the paper into the shape of the object (such as a leaf). Place the cutout piece on your Gemé Shaping Pad and mold it with Your Gemé Shaping Tool, using a circular rubbing motion, to achieve dimension. Molding can be done on the back or the face of the the cut out piece, depending on which way you want the image to curve.
Each cut out piece should be attached with a "blob" of silicone glue. The "blob" should be big enough to give the design elevation for a 3-D effect. To place the "blob", lightly put the tube of silicone glue against the cut out piece or the area where you want place the cutout and squeeze tube. Ideally the glob should be thicker at the bottom and stand out.
Attach the piece. Do not press down and squash the glue into a little mound. You will lose most of the dimension you are trying to create. The silicone glue should not show from the front, however be sure to use enough to give elevation. Some of the large pieces can have more than one "blob" if necessary.
